Directions from Baltimore Beltway:

Beltway (I-695) south towards Glen Burnie to I-97 south toward Annapolis. Follow to exit onto Rt-3 south toward Bowie. At Rt-50 exit Rt-3 becomes Rt-301 south. Continue heading straight on Rt-301 south to a right turn onto Tradezone Ave. (just past Rt-214 exits) Follow signs to race.

 

Directions from Capitol Beltway:

Beltway (I-495) to exit onto Rt-214 east. Follow to exit onto Rt-301 south toward Upper Marlboro. Follow to a right turn onto Tradezone Ave. Follow signs to race.

 

·          Registration begins at 8:30 for C race only. Registration closes 15 minutes prior to the start of each race.  Race Day Registration Only.  Make checks payable to Bayside Velo.

·          Entry fee includes number good for entire series (Do not lose your number!)

·          $2 discount for second race (use same number)

·          Juniors race for $8

·          Current USCF license needed. One day licenses will be available for Cat 5 Men and Cat 4 Women.  Please renew licenses on-line at www.usacycling.org to save time on race day.

·          Center Line Rule in effect.  This is not a closed course

·          75 rider field limit each race, except C race

·          C race for Cat 5 Men, Women & Juniors (Cat 5 juniors only)

·          Races held overcast, cold, windy or shine. (just like last year) Steady rain, sleet, and snow will cancel. Weather may be different in Bowie than in NoVA or north of Baltimore, Call hotline if un-sure of cancellation.

·          Please warm up in the open opposite lane with the flow of traffic as far to the right side of the road as possible max 2 abreast. Riding against traffic and/or blocking the traffic lane will result first in a warning then a non-refundable DQ for that week. A third time will result in season ban from the series. We’ve had too many complaints on this course about these very issues.

·          Helmets required at all times (USCF rule)

·          No Free Laps will given

·          Cash Prizes will be awarded at the end of each race, minimum amount per race $35.00.  Top 3 places.

·          Held under USA Cycling event permit

·          Road guards may be needed. Road guard and race for $6 (check on race day for availability)

·          Use 2006 USAC Standard release form. (download form www.usacycling.org)

·          Call 443-223-0774 after 8:00 am for Race cancellations.
