Historic St. Michaels Century: General Information

Bike Doctor proudly invites you to participate in this year's Historic St. Michael’s Century, Saturday, September 16th, 2006.

Bicycle with friends or individually to the most scenic places surrounding historic St. Michaels.  We are offering three routes to accommodate everyone’s needs - from the bicycle club member to the recreational enthusiast - 30, 62.5, and 100 miles.  Our flat country roads are great for training as well as sightseeing.

All routes begin and end in St. Michaels.  The rest stops are strategically placed to allow riders to relax and see expansive views to the water.  The full Century route has a 15-minute ferry ride across the Tred Avon River.  In addition to the support staff at St. Michaels High School, support vehicles will patrol the route to service anyone with minor mechanical problems.  However, in order to save time, we recommend all riders carry basic tire repair materials with them.

Check-in and late Registration for the ride begins at 7:00 a.m.  Start time is at 8:00 a.m.  Riders can pick up their registration packets at the St. Michaels High School.  Included in the registration packets will be special discounts to various St. Michaels businesses offered solely to Historic St. Michaels Century participants.

Liability waivers must be signed before you can get a ride number. The Historic St. Michaels Century is limited to 500 riders. The event officially ends at 5:00 p.m.   It is the responsibility of every rider to return to St. Michaels High School by 5:00 p.m.   We will not be available to provide assistance to any rider who has not returned by 5:00 p.m.
